Get Your Gear On

We are in the business of selling your consigned items. The better they look, the better they sell! Review the following details to prepare your gear and clothing for consignment.

FOOTWEAR

• All footwear should be cleaned with a damp cloth and all visible dirt from the soles should be removed.
• Remove and wash insoles with soap and water, and make sure they are dry before consigning.
• Shoelaces and buckles should be in good shape.

CLOTHING

• All clothing must be brand-name technical apparel, without tears, stains, or pilling. We do not accept casual or business clothing.
• All clothing must be laundered prior to consigning.
• Waterproof clothing should be washed with special detergents like Nikwax Techwash.
• Please ensure all zippers and fasteners are functional.
• GearAid.com has great articles about washing and repairing down jackets and GORE-TEX items.

CAMPING GEAR

• Tents must be cleaned and free of mold or mildew. Tents must include all parts, poles, rainfly, base footprint, etc. Please set up your tent prior to consigning to make sure nothing is missing.
• Sleeping bags must be laundered, clean, and free of odors.
• Inflatable sleeping pads must hold air. Please test them.
• Camp stoves need to be operational. Clean any carbon residue and empty the fuel tanks.
• Backpacks should be clean without tears. All buckles and zippers need to work as expected.

FLY FISHING GEAR

• Waders must be of the modern era, gently used, and clean. Learn how to wash your waders.
• Waders must not leak! Please repair any holes or tears before consignment.
• Fly Rods must have all sections and guides intact. Cork grips should not be deteriorating or in need of repair. Include rod sock and tube if possible.
• Fly Reels should work properly, including spool engagement and drag system.
• Fly Fishing accessories, packs, fly boxes, tools, and nets should be of the modern era and in good working order. (We accept vintage gear)

WINTER HARDGOODS

Nordic Skis, Backcountry Skis (Tele & AT), Snowboards, Boots, Bindings, Poles & Snowshoes (No Alpine Skis or Bindings)

• Winter equipment will need to be vetted by our staff prior to consignment. Contact us to determine if you should bring them in for an assessment or if they are too old for consignment.
• Nordic Ski & Snowboard base or top sheet damage will need to be repaired prior to consignment.
• Ski & Snowboard boots should be less than 6 years old to qualify for consignment.
• Ski & Snowboard bindings must have all required hardware included.
• Helmets must be new!

WATERCRAFT

Kayaks, Canoes & Standup Paddle boards, Personal Fishing Crafts

• We accept watercraft/boats seasonally and on a case-by-case basis. Please get in touch with us before transport to the shop.
• We do not accept used PFDs or wetsuits. Drytops, paddling clothing, and water shoes are acceptable.
